Description

for tips and advice about changing your lifestyle while pregnant.

i have always said that being pregnant and having children would never stop me from doing anything in my life that i wanted to do, but as the years move on and the children keep coming( i'm expecting my forth in june 08) i am finding it harder and harder to motivate myself, and easier and easier to come up with excuses... "i have no time" "i have no energy" " i have no babysitter.....

i'd love to have other mum's and mum's to be offer up advice to keep me and each other going!

I had my beautiful daughter, Sharla, by caesar on 4 October 2008 (She was breech). Having the caesar slowed down my recovery somewhat but now that she is 5 weeks old, I'm feeling more active. I put on 16kg throughout the pregnancy and lost 11kg of that within 2 weeks. I jumped on the scales this morning and have since gained 2kg so I'll have to start watching what I'm eating which is hard as we've had loads of visitors who have 'popped in for coffee & cake"!

Had my 20 week scan today and everything is looking perfect so far!
So relieved to have reached another milestone:)

I'm now 18 weeks preggers and feeling fantastic! The belly is rapidly expanding though and I already look about 6 months! It's been much more tiring this time round with a 3 year old to run around after too.

Everyone reckons I'm having a girl because of my shape (I'm carrying quite high) but they all said that last time too and I ended up having a boy so I'm thinking it's a boy just in case everyone else is wrong. I'm having my 20 week scan on 2 June and am tempted to find out what I'm having but I also like the surprise so will try to resist the urge to find out!

Hope your baby bumps are continuing along nicely:)

Hello fellow mums and mums-to-be!

I'm nearly 8 weeks pregnant and due Oct 17. After having my son through IVF 3 years ago after being diagnosed with PCOS, my hubby & I miraculously conceived this bub naturally after suffering a miscarriage, a blighted ovum (where the sac forms but the foetus doesn't) and an ectopic pregnancy. I fully believe it was due to a change of diet and that I got off my butt and started exercising!

I'm taking my daily dose of Elevit and eating as much fresh fruit & vegies as possible with some meat & low fat diary. Need to drink more water though as I've been feeling more thirsty. Have cut out caffeine, alcohol and the listeria high-risk foods. I have also cut my exercise regime down from jogging & body pump to doing brisk walking and body balance which is a mix of yoga, pilates & tai chi.
Once daylight savings ends, I hope to do some swimming at a local indoor pool.

I'm battling that drained/tired feeling at the moment and experiencing mild queasiness but after having 2 miscarriages and an ectopic pregnancy in the past 2 years, I'm taking it all as good signs everything is progressing as it should!

Keep us posted with your progress:)

hi all, i went to water areobics last nght, and the topic of my pregnancy came up after the session with some of the other ladies.... anyway to cut a long story short, after someone questioning if i should be working out "in my condition"
the instructor piped up and said that water areobics is one of the BEST type of exercise during prgnancy.... mostly because it's low impact but also it will apparently help when it comes to labour???

i don't have facts... and can't remember what the instructor said word for word... but i can tell you i feel a lot better about keeping it up...
