in 2006 I lost my best friend whom I was talking to at 10p.m. at night and the next day phoned me and said she had died in her sleep, I was devestated, then one month later our beautiful 11 year old lab/kelpie died and to top the year off one month after the doggy my daughter 41 died. I wouldn't wish it on any one. how did you cope? love to hear from you without being too morbid .xx

Thank you so much. The red rose is beautiful.
I had a good day but a bit of a breakdown on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday. Okay today.
Last Saturday for the first time we had our grandchildren on their own for the day. It was wonderful for me. I got a couple of photos and of course I will never forget the date. So, I was kept busy and also our friend from Brisbane visited and so we also went out for tea. Delicious. That is probably why I had the delayed reaction. (not because of the food, because I was then on my own) Anyway, onward we go.

It was a fairly good day as far as emotions go. I had the children here in the afternoon and they stayed the night so that helped. The children all went out and looked for the biggest star to wish Josh a Happy Birthday. It was a sweet moment in time.

I know just what you are saying Gail. I know it must have stirred memories for you that hurt. Take care of yourself and let your feelings free, it will help.

When is your son's birthday? Josh would have been 24 on Thursday 7th August. I am trying to be strong.

I let 3 balloons go on his birthday each year. 1 yellow, 1 green and 1 white ... the colours are meaningful for us and him.

Huggs to you Gail!!!I recently lost my grand but she lived a full life as she was 103.5 years old.I will miss her though she can't live forever.You always worry about your love ones if they are going to die befor you.You will get through it Gail and you will always have his memories.Big huggs ...maree

Sitting in the Front Row

I thought that I had sat in the front row for the last time (until if my DH goes before me) but I was wrong. I went to my brother's funeral and there I was in the front row again. Just when you least expect it.
