Do you ever wonder how many steps you take each day - how far you walk?  The aim of this group is for the members to wear a pedometer and register our steps daily and encourage each other to stay active.  

I have found that pedometers measure movement - not actually steps but are still a good indication of how much you are moving most of the time.

If I did no exercise I would average 3,000 steps per day. That is doing nothing.  A morning walk would give a headstart of 4,000 to 5,000 steps.

I wont be recording a step count for today, been to sore to walk anywhere. the most i would have done is maybe 3000 if that. i kept reminding myself to put the pedomitor on but always did that when resting on the couch and forgot by the time i got up.

Steps for August 20th- 6924, I know It looks like an obizimal number, but in my defence I did also do pump- and am now paying for it cause I increased my weights after not doing anything for a week- stupid stupid girl!!, todays will be better I promise- as am only 300 steps off that already. But I was jsut buggered yesterday and feeling totally crap!

My first two days back from holidays.

Tuesday 19th - 16,500
Wednesday 20th - 16,500

Bali was wonderfully relaxing, however I tend to over eat and not walk enough when on holidays.. Just lazing around the pool drinking buckets of cocktails is just so easy and cheap.

I wasn't going to weigh in till next week, but I weakened. I gained 2kg over the 4 weeks, so I'm not too depressed. Not happy but not beating myself up either. That is a manageable amount to take off slowly.

Horribly cold and overcast here to-day - cetainly not nice walking weather, so we are meeting a friend for lunch instead.

Gail - 19 August- Step Count 13,172

My step count for Tuesday 19 August is 13,172. I had my usual day at work with some extra walking to other buildings. Usually when I go to the movies it starts at around 6.30 but last night I went to the 7.15 screening so had some extra time. I had my tea and then went over to the shopping centre and walked around in there for a half an hour. It is good when there is no one around. I drooled over the jewellery and saw a nice pair of shoes that I would like to take a closer look at.
