Alan Jones diagnosed with cancer

Radio broadcaster Alan Jones has been diagnosed with prostate cancer. It is horrible news for anyone to hear, but he is such a fighter, so fingers crossed he will go on to make a full recovery.

But it is another timely reminder of how important it is to get regular check-ups, no matter what your age is. And if something feels wrong, persist. As you have all demonstrated, our own intuition is often more powerful than any test.

Alan Jones will be having surgery in two weeks time.

Hi Sus, dont put of the papsmere, these things are not nice at all. Men are not the only ones who put off having tests becuse its uncomfortable and embarrassing. I cant critisise as i was due when i was pregnant and have not had it yet but it is for a good reason- after what iv had done there is no way in the world i am having it yet.
