Kylie Minogue receives an OBE

How cute is Kylie Minogue! The 40 year-old received the prestigious OBE for her contribution to the music industry from Price Charles, who was standing in for the Queen. Kylie's excitement was obviously overwhelming, as along with the curtsies, she also broke protocol and shook Prince Charle's hand. He looked equally as chuffed with the pop princess.

Kylie had already received a similar honour from France, the Order of Arts and Letters, which is awarded to those who have made a large contribution to the arts in France and the world.

I so wanted to see that episode of Dr Who, we went out for tea instead and i forgot to set the recorder, couldn't turn tea down, doesn't happen very often.

iv looked at the dress again, looks like a nightie to me, but i love kylie.

I like Kylie. She looks great in this photo, however I saw her on Dr Who the other night and she looked 40 (sigh). How they did her up was awful.

I love Kylie..She can do no wrong in my book.
I went to her last concert in Adelaide and she was fantastic.Im not sure i would have coped as well as she has with the Breast Cancer.

I love Kylie, i have to agree tho girls, what was with that dress? I'v seen her in some magnificent frocks over the years.

Well done with the obe. and lets hope the cancer stays away.

Just goes to show that even if a well known designer has made it, doesn't mean that it will look great! I agree, it looked like a white sheet with stars stuck on. I don't understand why she wore it when she would have so many more nicer clothes or designers. I think that even some of my MILLERS classic outfits are nicer ( and I'm not having a go at MILLERS... just the price differences).MInd you... I don't think that I could carry off that dress like her though. I would make it look like the BRIDGESTONE BLIMP.Debbo Barf!

Ok, now that its been brought up i cant help but notice the bra issue. a padded one would have been a great idea.

I would think that the top/dress/whatever it is would be horrible too, but however she's wearing it is nice. Bright and cheery just like her. However she forgot to wear the most important thing, a BRA (or one with a lil padding), I mistakenly noticed that and now it stands out a mile LOL

Congrats Kylie! Would be a wonderful achievment.
My only issue- The dress! Is it just me or does it look like a white sheet with plastic stars sewn on. She is so beautiful, am sure she could have found something more suitable
